چکیده
Abstract Background A mandibulotomy approach has been introduced for removal of posteriorly-based tumors the oral cavity, oropharynx, and certain parapharyngeal with minimum morbidity. Case presentation middle-aged male presented a left-sided upper neck mass last year difficulty in swallowing past six months. previous history sclerotherapy incision drainage was present histopathological examination report from drainage-derived tissue suggestive lymphangioma. On examination, single soft globular swelling measuring approximately 6 × 4 cm left infra-auricular region scar 1 0.5 present. Oropharynx: tonsillar bulge reaching up to uvula. Contrast-enhanced MRI revealed an enhancing lesion suggesting vascular tumour affecting pre post-styloid compartment. The patient underwent surgical excision lymphangioma by modified improve bony stability, avoiding lip split tooth extraction medically resistant So, we our technique cases space lifting step osteotomy thin saw blade. Conclusion provides safe effective means tumor resection this not only ensures complete but also maintains integrity functionality mandible.

Aggressive fibromatosis also known as extra abdominal desmoid tumor is an uncommon benign tumor of soft tissue origin with fibroblastic proliferationSince the tumor is locally aggressive, the lesion may be misdiagnosed as low -grade fibrosarcoms. It accounts for 0.03% - 0.1% of all body tumors and 3% of all soft tissue tumors. Only 10% to 15% of these lesions occur in head and neck, usually in ...

متن کاملParapharyngeal space tumours: the efficiency of a transcervical approach without mandibulotomy through review of 44 cases
The aim of this study was to describe our experience with benign parapharyngeal space tumours resected via a transcervical route without mandibulotomy and to investigate associated postoperative sequelae and complications. The study investigated and analysed the retrospective charts of 44 patients who underwent surgery for benign parapharyngeal space tumours over a 10-year period. The diagnosis...
متن کاملParapharyngeal space pleomorphic adenoma: a case report
Parapharyngeal space masses account for 0.5% of all head and neck neoplasms. Pleomorphic adenoma arising from the epithelial rests of the salivary tissue in the parapharyngeal space is rare. Computed tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) allows a precise topographical localization of the mass and the diagnosis of its nature in the majority of cases. Treatment of parapharyngeal pl...
